My fiance and I went for a fall apple orchard drive. It was a beautiful day and highlight was our visit to this orchard. Took home a 1/2 pick of SWEETTANGO apples. I just ate one and they are fantastic!!!!! A great crisp bite, then a sweet flavor and an after taste of tartness!!!! Well worth the $$$$$

Awesome apples but you have to buy in 6 lbs bag. Not for me, I live alone and just needed a few of a couple variety. The new sweet kiss was excellent. Let you try samples of all the new varieties. Honwycrisp was tasty and true!

Our family visited Gilby's last weekend, and we had an absolute blast! Our kids (almost 2 and almost 3) had the time of our lives. We strolled around, fed the chickens, climbed on the hay bales, and took lots of pictures with their cute photo ops while waiting for our hayride. The hayride was really fun and everyone was super friendly. The grounds are just gorgeous, and it's big enough without being too overwhelming for the little ones. We bought a bag of First Kiss apples, which we were thrilled to get our hands on, and they are absolutely delicious. We also got their caramel-topped apple slices, and those were great too. They have samples of their different apples in the main building, so we got to eat some samples too.We didn't try the corn maze or apple blaster since our kids are so young, but those looked like fun too. They had a food truck outside with burgers, fries, etc. along with some nice picnic tables to sit at. We didn't eat there, but it looked fun.We had a really great time, and hope to be back soon!

This is such a fun adventure for a Fall outing! We have visited Gilby's many times over the last few years and this year is by far the best. The Apple Blaster courses were fun for kids and adults alike and we were all challenged by the corn maze. Hay bale jumping for the more nimble folks was a huge hit and a hayride took us through the well maintained agricultural property. We really enjoyed the Action Figures theme throughout as we had some Spiderman, Batman, and Wonder Woman fans in our group. And did I mention Gilby's is one of the specially selected growers of the First Kiss hybrid apple? They also sell the tasty Sweet Tango and Zestar early varieties and later ripening ones as they are picked. You will be happy you made Gilby's a special outing with your family. Five Stars!!!!

There is a lot that goes into growing apple trees. If you simply want to buy a cheap tree, dig a hole, and hope for the best, then Gilby's isn't for you. On the other hand, if you want to understand why you need two different types of apple trees in the same flowering season planted close by each other, if you want to know (and practice on-site) how to make proper pruning cuts for the first swirl of branches, if you want to learn about the most common things that attack apple trees--in short, if you want a good primer on how to grow apple trees, then Gilby's is your place. My wife and I spent 3 really informative hours taking the beginner class (4/20/19). This was after spending quite a bit on time on their website--a really great resource! We've been very pleased with how our 5 trees have been doing.

Wonderful place and people. David and Jeanette Gilby are truly professionals in both tree knowledge and working with people. Great selection of quality trees of many varieties and excellent condition. I’ve planted hundreds of trees over the years and visited many nurseries and they are truly a 10!!!

I attended the informational class that was put on 4-20-19. I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge that was presented in a easy to understand format. It was worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to take care of their apple tree's both for the health of tree and to help maximize the number of and quality of the fruit. This class is not just for the big producers but for the people like me who have just a couple of tree's.

I discovered Gilby’s in October of 2017and was so impressed with their orchard. I was given a sample of no less than six different apples each with their own distinctive flavor, all delicious. I asked if they sold trees and they said yes, come back in April. They give a class on how to plant your bare root tree and then how to care for your tree to get the best fruit. I was back in April of 2018 and picked up six apple trees and took the class. I returned to take the class again this year to better understand how to properly prune my trees. The owners Janet and David are so knowledgeable about every aspect of growing apples because they have experienced the good and bad through the years. The classes are held partly in the classroom and partly in the orchard with a hands-on opportunity. When you leave you have good handouts and confidence to go back home and care for your tree. I highly recommend Gilbys whether you want some great apples or a new hobby to grow your own great apples.

On Saturday, we attended Gilby’s Apple Growing Workshop; this is our second time attending one. We always learn new and helpful information to help us grow and maintain our own orchards. We especially appreciate the hands-on learning experience as well as the handouts provided. Gilby’s is a professional, well-managed business, and they are always willing to answer questions we have about growing fruit trees. “Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple.” Martin LutherStan and Shelley Overgaard

My boyfriend and I went to Gilby’s beginner class for apple growing and I could not recomend it more!!!! David was an excellent teacher, very attentive and knowledgeable, and the class was packed with so much info I almost feel like an expert apple farmer already! ;) Thank you to David and everyone at Gilby’s Orchard. I can’t wait to come back out to your place for your hay rides and pumpkin patches in the fall! I really would like a shot at the apple catapult :)

Took the beginner and advanced classes on growing apples, despite knowing next to nothing about it. David’s knowledge and passion for the subject quickly changed that. He really made it fun and he very genuinely wants to help everyone learn, no matter your familiarity or expertise.

This was alright. I do love their apples. The maze was probably made for very young children. You could see over the top to find your way.

The place is cute and clean, but unaffordable for a family of five. The apples are good, prices are high. Also, you can't pick your own, they are very uptight about it. My kids want to go to an apple orchard to pick and eat an apple off a tree. So some words of advice- leave a few trees for the kids to pick an apple off of, they don't need to be your big money making apples. My kids aren't picky.
